Marianne, love this shot, just superb! I have been lurking for quite some time but felt that I needed to leave a comment. I have been enjoying your blog so much since moving to Competa. We live in the campo off the Torrox road. I have a personal blog for family and friends but plan to start a second more public blog. I am an avid photographer as well, seems that my camera is an extension of my arm sometimes. 🙂 Keep up the great work! We should do coffee sometime at La Casona.
I understand that the Costa del Sol used to be known as the Costa del Viento – but this was changed for the purposes of attracting tourism to the area 🙂

I’m in the campo off the Torrox Road too, Lara – about half way-up 🙂
Sure – sounds like a good idea to meet up at La Casona – I’d like that.
Wow!!! Now that is my kind of place! 🙂 Fantastic shot Marianne.
Thanks Madhu – it’s a peaceful, if breezy, spot 🙂
Like a lovely painting. Such superb composition and tones, Marianne. All of your work is just superb.
That is very kind (and encouraging) of you to say that, George. Thank you 🙂
Fabulous Marianne! I just want to lay down and take a nap right on the spot!
Hahaha …. you made me smile, Kathryn 🙂
I am so happy to know that I could do that! 🙂
fab photo, the colours are so harmonious, super Marianne!
Thanks Christine 🙂
I think I could sit there all day 🙂
Nice photo!
Thanks Esmee 🙂
Interesting … I wonder did it have windows or did they watch from the top?
Great view, Marianne … and your photo is perfection.
Isadora
Generally there are no windows – but, of course, there is always the odd exception.
Thank you Issy – I always appreciate your very kind comments 🙂
Such a beautiful shot with an amazing view 😀
Thanks Dianne 🙂
That is an awesome shot, Marianne!
Awww … thanks Amy 🙂
Beautiful, and the view is wonderful. 🙂
Certainly from here, there is a wonderful view of the coastline of the east of Malaga.
This watchtower is only a few kilometres from where we visited the Eagle Aqueduct, Cathy.
Oh, that’s all such a nice area. How I wish I were there now! 🙂
I wish you were too, Cathy 🙂 xx
That’s what we’ve been waiting for you to post all along…the watchtower
Really? lol 🙂

Perfect! 😀
Really nice photograph Marianne though judging by the way the grass is leaning it’s a tad on the windy side.

Very observant, David. Yes – it can be a bit windy!
Lovely capture, love the detail of the grassy headland…..
There are many of these watchtowers along the coast, Sue, and some of them are difficult to get to – but this one isn’t – luckily for me!
🙂
That’s so pretty, although it looks ever so windy! Always enjoy looking at your photos, Marianne.
Thanks Jess – very kind of you to say so.

Haha fair enough! I know which one I’d rather visit.
Me too!
Idyllic – very well captured… 🙂
Thanks Drake – much appreciated.
