I’ve no problem if each is a pound or under. Larger than that, or washed up on shore, and I’ll take a pass. 🙂 Reply
Ewww … wouldn’t eat anything washed up on the shore. I’m sure the smaller ones must be more tasty … but I’ve yet to experience that! Reply
I tried a tiny piece recently and I won’t be doing it again but I’m pleased with myself for being brave! 🙂 Reply
I prefer it in rings and deep fried. I don’t like to think that I’m eating something that actually looks like this. 🙂 Reply
Yes, down on the beach near us at Torrox Costa (where you caught the bus), Cathy. They aren’t the prettiest creatures are they? I’m not fond of their taste either … so not a lot going for it as far as I’m concerned. Shame 😦 Reply
Haha, Marianne, yes it is a shame. I don’t care for them either; I find the texture especially off putting. Oh yes, I remember Torrox Costa and that early morning at the bus station. Oh to be back in Spain. 🙂 Reply
That made me sad : (
Sorry, Kathryn 😦
It’s okay , I prefer the awareness Marianne.
Poor thing.
Just showed this to my 6-yr-old who’s really into sea animals. He said, “Eeeewww.” LOL.
Awww … I know how he feels 😉
Will be showing this to my 6-yr-old who’s been enthralled with sea animals.

Not pretty, and sad to see it washed up, but in the right time and plcae… yum 🙂
…not my favourite thing to eat. Oh no.
Ready the grille 🙂
Yes indeed, Jake!
They look so gorgeous when they swim and move. Here? Not so much. Ooof. Poor thing.
Exactly … poor thing.
Much appreciate your comment, Angelia 🙂

OOHHh well done, Gilly! Not my cup of tea, either 😦
I don’t think I’ve seen a size like this one 😉

Me neither, Sylvia 😦
Dinner, fresh off the beach.
For someone else though … not me.
I guess this guy has met his end. I do have to say these are not pretty creatures. 😦

I’m sure you will come back …. you’d be very welcome, Cathy 🙂
Now that’s the best Christmas present ever! 🙂
That’s a big beast.
Yep … quite a big one!
A squeeze of lemon …..
Not fond of it, myself ….
I love it but it has to be cooked correctly otherwise it gets chewy.
I think that’s my memory of it … perhaps I need to try again.
