Looking down from the tower of Còmpeta’s church at the many umbrellas shading customers at the bars and restaurants in Plaza Almijara.

Magical multiples 🙂
Absolutely!
Thanks for taking the time to comment – much appreciated.
Beautiful composition Marianne! Makes me want to check fares to Spain 🙂
Check them, Madhu – quick!
The umbrella’s look like they’re floating. SO very pretty ….
Yes, they do – I’d never noticed that, Isadora. I guess it was because I photographed them directly from above, which is an unusual angle to photograph an umbrella 🙂
Thanks for helping me to see that.

Fantastic picture. I love the fact that those people are sitting beneath those umbrellas enjoying food and company – too cool! 🙂
Thanks Dianne – yes, often what you can’t see, but have to use your imagination for, is just as important!

You have just added a bit of sun and summer in my cold day! Lovely! 🙂
Glad I could warm you up, Ioanna 🙂
Nice photo Marianne. A bird’s eye view!
Thanks Paddy 🙂
Ahihihi …. i’ve been going around commenting to the submissions thinking this Multiples was your CBBH challenge. Bwahahaha. Outstanding entry, Marianne.
LOL – Bless you, Rommel 🙂
Thanks for letting me know!
Very well captured… 🙂
Thanks, Duckie 🙂
What a fantastic composition, it makes me think of summer
Long summer days – ah yes 🙂
My friend Margaret was very excited when she found your blog as she has stayed in that area and she says it is just as lovely as you post about
How lovely to hear that 🙂 I’m glad Margaret enjoyed visiting this area. Thanks for letting me know!
Wonderful perspective for Your photo. I have not been in Málaga although in some other places in Spain, mainly on Canary Islands.
The village of Cómpeta is about 50 kms east of Málaga city, within Málaga province. I hope you get to visit one day.
Thank you so much for taking the trouble to comment on this post – much appreciated 🙂
I am really enjoying this challenge! Your pick is so sunny and warm, I feel slightly better about being in the first third of winter…
We are in winter too, of course, but we do have wonderfully sunny, warm days in winter. Of course, that’s why I moved here from England! 😉
the tiny verandas with flowers add colors and fun to the photo.. nice shot!
Glad you like it, Elizz 🙂
Fun shot!
Thanks Jen 🙂
It’s nice to see a warm sunny day in January!
It is, Meg – surely!
Those multitudes of umbrellas look so inviting and picturesque! Lovely. 🙂
Thanks Cathy – I would so love to take you for a coffee there 🙂
And I would LOVE that. 🙂
How nice it would be to be seated under one of those umbrellas just about now. One wouldn’t dare attempt such a thing here for a few months. Even so, it is a very good response to the challenge. Unique.
…and how nice it would be for me to be able to take each one of my blogging friends, to sit under those umbrellas, and enjoy a coffee together, before I showed you around my beautiful, home village 🙂
Beautiful shot from the tower!
Thanks Amy 🙂
Definitely looks like a wonderful place to sit and have a coffee or glass of wine.
…and there is always such a buzz, with it being the main village square 🙂
Reminds me of being at an upstairs window in a restaurant in Guimaraes. Now what did I do with that shot?
LOL – New Year Resolution = get your photos organised!
Oh my, that should be one of my resolutions too! 🙂
Lovely! I can imagine myself under the umbrellas.
…and I can imagine being there with you, having a coffee and a chat 🙂
